How to sign up for Turnitin

We will be using Turnitin (http://www.turnitin.com/) as our essay management software. Turnitin allows you to submit and received corrected essays electronically. It also contains plagiarism detection software. To submit essays to Turnitin, you must first register with the system and sign up for our class.

If you have never used Turnitin before (i.e. at the University of Lethbridge or any other school, college, or university):

  1. Point your browser at http://www.turnitin.com/
  2. Create an account
  3. Follow the instructions for returning users (below).

If you have used Turnitin before (i.e. at the University of Lethbridge or any other school, college, or university):

  1. Point your browser at http://www.turnitin.com/
  2. Login using the email address and password you use for your Turnitin account
  3. When you come to your account home page, select “enroll in a class”
  4. On the next page, use the class ID and password found in our Moodle area.
