Sherlock Holmes and his trusted partner, Dr. Watson were on a case that took them to the Caribbean Islands of the Cayman Is. and St.Lucia Is. Seems that a man had been murdered there that was of some interest to Scotland Yard. The locals were of not to much help in these areas. A message left had been written in a code that only Holmes & Watson could decypher. After some time, Holmes said to Watson, " Elementary my dear man, seems that the table that it is written in is very common among scientists. We should have this case cracked open in no time at all." Solve; N 49* A.C W 112* B.D Where A = Tc B = In C = ? - 57 D = ? - 31 Container has log only; Please bring your own writing tool.

Hint A & B can be solved by reading the contents of the last paragraph. C & D can be solved by reading the contents of the first and third paragraphs.

PLANNING

The initial focus was a puzzle cache that came out a few days ago. I finally solved it last night at 7 PM. I made a quick trip to the cache area but it was too dark to see the container in the spruce tree so I came back this morning and tried again. Since I was on the north side of Lethbridge I added 3 other caches to my plan and then headed out at 8:00 am.

OUTCOME

8:20 am. This was the first search. In daylight it turned out to be a quick find.

Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:

FTF @ 8:20 am Nice puzzle! TFTC.

I forgot to take a photo of the spruce tree and the container.

I am now 1/1 for today.
