GCT83K The GAS city micro cache N 50° 01.342 W 110° 40.547Difficulty 1.5; Terrain 1; size micro; Creator: The_Master_11 Date First Hidden: 1/29/2006 Date Last Found: 10/07/2010 Medicine HatDescription The cache is on nice level terrain, with fine parking nearby. The cache is a camoflaged matchstick holder containing nothing but a log. The cache was placed just before The first GAS winter event, and is located on the top of a nice ravine. Their is amplement parking about 150-175 meters from the cache and should be a nice easy walk. And a big thanks to Wavector for agreeing to be the co-maintainer! Hint Comments
PLANNING
This was a new experiment for me. I had downloaded a large number of caches in the Medicine Hat area to my GPS unit using a pocket query. I then headed out and as I approached a cache icon on my GPS I would enter the GC code into my iPhone to obtain a description and the coordinates. I was curious to see how well this would work.
OUTCOME
2:30 PM This was my 14th search. I left Lethbridge at 7:10 am. This was on the top of the coulee and a short walk from where I parked the car. Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
