The name will explain itself as you get near the cache. There is a road turn out close to the cache. This cache is not on private property so there is no need to go into it. This cache could be difficult in wet or snowy weather so us your discretion while attempting this cache. There is a sign on the road that it is not recommended for winter travel. PLANNING
This was a new experiment for me. I had downloaded a large number of caches in the Medicine Hat area to my GPS unit using a pocket query. I then headed out and as I approached a cache icon on my GPS I would enter the GC code into my iPhone to obtain a description and the coordinates. I was curious to see how well this would work.
OUTCOME
8:50 am. This was my first search. I left Lethbridge at 7:10 am. This was encouraging. I had no difficulty finding the cache. Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
