GC176KE Welcome to my Castle N 49° 26.928 W 114° 19.295Difficulty 1.5; Terrain 3; size small; Creator: geezer55 Date First Hidden: 11/04/2007 Date Last Found: 9/28/2010 ruralDescription This cache is placed downstream of the Castle Falls Provincial Recreation Area and the Castle Falls. It is along a sandy trail used by fishermen and hikers which runs along the Castle River. We, as a family, have used this area of the forestry for a lot of our holidays and weekends. My parents brought my brothers and myself here to fish, swim, camp and hike. One of our favorite things was on hot summer days was jumping off of the rock overhangs into the river and cooling off. Come out here and spend a day, a weekend or your holidays and explore the area, you won't be disappointed. The cache is a large peanut butter jar with the usual trinkets, logbook and pencil.

PLANNING
I set up a set of 16 searches in the Crowsnest Pass area. While doing this I noticed 3 new caches had just been posted in Pincher Creek and made sure they were on my list. Then I left Lethbridge at daybreak and headed west toward Pincher Creek.
OUTCOME
11:05 am. This was my 6th search of the day. This was another walk of about half a kilometer from an excellent campground along a good trail beside the Castle River.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Lovely area. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Then tried to continue driving north on the Castle Falls Road but there was a gate across the road about half a kilometer from the campground saying that the road was closed to protect the wildlife. Not sure if this has something to do with hunting season but at least at the moment it is closed .Here are a few photos:

I am now 6/6 for today.
After I returned to the truck and started down the gravel road to the next cache on my list I encountered a gate closing the road ahead. As I turned around I decided to head back to Lethbridge. The day had been very successful and I knew that I still had one more cache on Highway 3 to look for.
