GC1VH9K RUN #2 N 49° 50.947 W 119° 27.572Difficulty 1.5; Terrain 1; size small; Creator: Pumkinbuster Date First Hidden: 7/05/2009 Date Last Found: 9/15/2010 Kelowna BCDescription This is another location of interest on the Mission greenway. Because this cache is by the river, there can be quite allot of mosquitoes in the spring-summer evenings. Stealth is required, it can be busy with people walking, jogging and riding their bikes. This cache has a whistle theme, you don't need to stay with it if you don't want to, but let's try :) Small camo taped L&L. This is #2 of 3 pieces of art on the Mission greenway, called RUN by Richard Watts Three skeletal steel vessels installed at different sites between Gordon Dr. and KLO Rd. Evoke the passage of time and a connection between the human and natural world. Funded by the city of Kelowna Public Art Fund, July 2006 Hint Move the little rock, not the big one! Comments
PLANNING
This was our first full day in Kelowna. I made a list of 2 possible searches and then went out to see if I could find them. Since the first two searches were along Mission Creek, I returned to our unit and added an additional 3 caches at the other end of the parkway.
OUTCOME
This was my 4th search of the day. Only two rocks to deal with this time. Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Nearby seat for filling in the log was a nice touch. TNLNSL. TFTC. Here are a few photos:
