Difficulty 2.5; Terrain 1; size small; Creator: Groundhog & Shadow Date First Hidden: 01/9/2010 Date Last Found: 9/09/2010 Description Located off of 46th Avenue by the Army, Navy & Airforce Club is a small cache holding logbook, pencil, geocache note, and small items: Remembrance Day quarters, souvenir coins, pins, zipper pulls, pendants, etc. Get a closeup view of the Spitfire! Although on private property so to speak, permission has been granted. In fact, the Army, Navy & Airforce Club gave me 2 pins to use for the 2TF & 3TF prizes. Please put cache back exactly as you found it to keep it as muggle-free as possible! Thanks.

PLANNING
This was our first full day in Vernon. I had the afternoon to myself to do some geocaching so made a list of 14 geocaches and headed out to see what would happen.
OUTCOME
11:45 am This was my 2nd search of the day. This turned out to give me a lot of trouble. The only possible hiding spots that I could see were the cement parking barriers but a careful look at and inside each of them revealed nothing.

My second Vernon search and my first Vernon DNF. Not a problem. The spitfire made it all worthwhile. And I will see it again when I give this one another try. Here is a photo:
