GC21JVX Red Sands in Blue River N 52° 07.958 W 119° 17.212Difficulty 1.5; Terrain 1.5; size small; Creator: lambman Date First Hidden: 1/20/2003 Date Last Found: 9/13/2010 rural BCDescription An easy find, in an area with unlimited adventure. I couldn't believe that there were no geocaches in Blue River, so I placed this one at the bottom of a logging road that I was hauling on. If you decide to venture down to Mud Creek, take care going across the railroad tracks, they are uncontrolled. Also watch out for logging trucks. This is also where you can access the airport, if you want to go snowboarding from a helicopter in some of the wildest mountains in the world... This cache should be ok to find in the winter, provided there isn't over 5 feet of snow.... There isn't a lot of room in the container, but there is a FTF Prize. Good Luck and Happy trails.
Hint Keep hangin around, you'll find it! Comments
PLANNING
I made a list of seven caches along the route from Jasper to Vernon. However given that this was going to be a heavy driving day I was not sure how many of them would be attempted. One of the caches indicated that it would take a bit over half an hour to walk to and from the site.
OUTCOME
12:30 PM This was my third search of the day. This was a very easy find, I could see the brightly colored container as I approached the area.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
A nice stop along the highway. Thanks for putting this one on the route. SL. TFTC. Here are two photos:
