GCC79B "The Marsh" N 52° 48.750 W 119° 15.474Difficulty 1; Terrain 1; size regular; Creator: Treeline Date First Hidden: 1/20/2003 Date Last Found: 9/15/2010 rural BCDescription Park at the lot for the Starratt Wildlife Sanctuary in front of the Best Western in Valemount. Walk the trail that takes you across the marsh. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk one way to the cache.
Hint take the trail to the right at the sign on the far side of the marsh, you are only about 40 paces away! on the right of the trail. Comments
PLANNING
I made a list of seven caches along the route from Jasper to Vernon. However given that this was going to be a heavy driving day I was not sure how many of them would be attempted. One of the caches indicated that it would take a bit over half an hour to walk to and from the site.
OUTCOME
11:10 am This was my second search of the day. This was the one cache in my list that would involve some walking. We decided to enjoy the area and took our time birding as well as searching for the cache.

On our way to Vernon this morning, but made time to enjoy this cache through "The Marsh". We took our binoculars and saw a few new birds which we will try to identify later from the photos we took when we find our bird books. Happened to meet the owner of the cache and had a very pleasant chat. Took a geocoin, LNSL, TFTC. Here are a few photos:
