Please stay on the trails. From this spot on the trail you will have a great view of Whistlers Mountain. If you look carefully you will see the Jasper Tramway. At the top of the mountain which is called the alpine life zone there is a mixture of rocks, stunted trees and small delicate plants. This is the home for the camouflaged ptarmigan and the “ whistling “ marmot. In accordance with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items or things that might attract wildlife are to be left in this cache. Please bring your own pen.

PLANNING
We will be spending 2 days in Jasper on our way to Kelowna. I have identified 6 caches in the near vicinity of the townsite and will see how many I can find.
OUTCOME
12:00 PM This was my 4th search of the day. This was the 2nd of four caches along a trail on the east side of Cottonwood creek.
