GC2B32R CROWSNEST VIEW N 49° 37.969 W 114° 41.297Difficulty 2; Terrain 3; size small; Creator: PASSTRACKER Date First Hidden: 6/29/2010 Date Last Found: 8/22/2010 Crowsnest PassDescription This is the first in a series of caches that I planned to release for Canada Day, 2010. The caches will be located throughout the Crowsnest Pass and will encompass the full width and length of the Municipality. This cache is a medium Lock 'n Lock camo'd container full of Canadian souvenir trinkets, from pins, magnets, pencils, pens, lanyards, rings, cards, flags, keychains, etc. A first to find prize is located in the ziplock bag containing the log book. If possible, please replace items with a similar Canadian theme. This cache is located on a ridge at the B.C./Alta, border and overlooks the old #3 Highway. Looking east you see Island Lake, Sentry Mtn., Phillips Peak and Tecumseh Mtn. Walk a few paces to the west and you are in B.C. Once you have found the cache, take the time to enjoy the scenery.

PLANNING
The Crowsnest Pass is one of my favorites geocaching areas. I set up a plan to search for 10 caches near Highway 3, one of which was a puzzle cache that I solved a few weeks ago.
OUTCOME
10:30 am. This was my 4th search of the morning. My post says it all!
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
A very pleasant hike to the cache. The view of the Pass was superb. Well worth the effort. Unfortunately I placed my GPS unit beside another toy of mine that had a strong magnet and wiped out about 1/4 of the pixels on my screen. Made the remainder of the day that much more interesting. CROWSNEST PASS
I am now 4/4 for today. But my GPS unit is only partially functional. I am hoping to be able to continue my searches using a combination of my Garmin and my iPhone.
