PLANNING
I bought a Spot GPS Messenger device a couple of days ago and wanted to begin familiarizing myself with the characteristics of the tracking feature. There have been 3 new caches in Claresholm recently so I decided to drive there (about an hour) and try to find the 3 recent caches as well as one older one.
OUTCOME
This was my 4th, and last, search today.The area was a very attractive small urban park between two buildings. However I was not able to find the cache.

Lovely park but the cache eluded me today. I will return. Once again, I forgot to take any photos of a DNF!
I am now 3/4 for today. The Spot maps have a couple of interesting features. For example, successive trips are simply appended to the shared map as long as it is not "deactivated". I will soon have this under control and then will feel much better about heading out into the back country alone.
