GC2BXVP Boundry Creek Cache N 49° 05.180 W 113° 25.445Difficulty 2.5; Terrain 2.5; size small; Creator: morenews Date First Hidden: 7/17/2010 Date Last Found: 8/15/2010 ruralDescription Beautiful view in the foothills near Police Lake Provincial Park. Great cache for a nice drive in the country or on the way to fish a few of the nearby lakes. Cache is plastic container that is a short walk from a road side pull out. Original contents are morenews cache card. logbook and pencil, Canada Key Chain, Tupperware Key Chain, Vancouver Torch Relay Pin, Pink Bear and a first to find scratch prize. This cache has been approved by the landowner, but as usual park on road pull off, and respect property, no gates need to be opened. Use care walking to cache as we noticed a few things in the grass we wouldn't want you to trip over. Hint none yet, we'll see if any are needed. Comments
PLANNING
I set up a route last night that would involve a total of 9 searches. I was not sure how many would be possible as three of the searches would involve some hiking, which is often difficult to estimate in terms of time taken. Then there is always the unknown factor of how long it actually takes to spot the cache once one is in the area. And there will also be a fair amount of driving between caches, sometimes on rural gravel roads. It promised to be a full day. But the weather was perfect: sunny, warm, no wind, blue sky.
OUTCOME
9:25 am This was my 3rd search of the morning. The walk was about 50 m from the pullout. It only took a minute to find the cache among the rusting machinery.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Beautiful countryside. I was fortunate to spot it without too much searching. TNLNSL. TFTC.
