The terrain is quite difficult and the caches are hidden well. Not a good choice for beginners, but very fun all the same. All three containers are green. The first two are small (8cm diameter and 5 cm in height) , but the third is regular (8 cm in diameter, 15 cm in height). The coullees are not too steep, and there are many natural deer trails. To get to this coullee, follow Township Road 100 west out of Taber, and turn north on the road the runs along the top of the coullee (to the north of Township Road 100). Hint Don't cough and fall over a ledge. Comments
PLANNING
My goal this morning was to search for two caches in the Taber area. Both were released about a month ago.
OUTCOME
The second search had high ratings for both difficulty and terrain so I was expecting a real challenge. It turned out to be more like a typical coulee adventure - a little scrambling with some up and down work. All three caches were well hidden yet easy to find. I was up and down in well under an hour. The small waterfall near the third cache was a pleasant surprise.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Lovely day for geocaching. Enjoyed the hunt, and the location - particularly the final cache. TNLNSL. TFTC.
