PLANNING
I created a set of 14 searches for the Crowsnest Pass. However by 1 PM I had visited them all. Two were occupied by muggles and I planned to try them again on the return trip. I used my iPhone to obtain the coordinates for one additional cache, which involved a good hike up a hill. It was 2 PM by the time I was back at the truck, so I headed home with two searches still in front of me. At this point I was 13/13. The final result for the day was 14/15.
OUTCOME
11:30 am This was my 9th search of the morning. I had difficulty with this cache. My GPS indicated the cache was likely in a small group of shrubs, but I was not able to find it. I finally gave up and then decided to use my iPhone to see if there was any useful information in the recent logs. There was. A comment said that the coordinates were out by about 10 meters. That immediately suggested to me that it was in the base of one of the flag poles. Yes, the middle one.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Previous log entries helped me with this one. TNLNSL. TFTC Here are a few photos.

bakery
I am now 9/9 for today. After the find I went across the street to a local bakery for a quick bite to eat. A cup of coffee and a scrumptuous raspberry scone was the perfect break.
