GC1R1EA Where Wood It Be? N 44° 17.465 W 076° 30.476Difficulty 2.5; Terrain 2; size small; Creator: mm_dancer and twilight_tor Date First Hidden: 5/06/2009 Date Last Found: 6/27/2010 rural, OntarioDescription A small cache located in Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation area. The small locknlock container is hidden along the southern trail of trail 2, and can be accessed from the trailhead behind the Outdoor Center, or via the service road. Either take the trail behind the outdoor center (either direction as the cache is at the top of the loop) and then take the southern of the two trail 2s, or head up the service road and meet up with trail 4 then head south along the southern trail 2. Click here to see a trailmap. The park is open from 7:30AM till dusk. There is a booth to collect an entry fee. The booth is manned during special events, and throughout the summer months. At other times the booth is not manned, but the park is still open. The outdoor center has bathrooms and an observation deck. They also have equipment available for rent. There are many other great caches within the park, spend the day and check out all the trails. This cache was hidden on a school photography trip (and yes we took pictures after hiding ;) ) Although it wasn't my class on the trip, when the teacher asked if I wanted to come along I didn't hesitate to take the opportunity to go caching! As I put the caches together quickly there is no FTF prize this time. Hope you enjoy the cache and the trails. (A few of the photos we took on the trails today, quality kinda sucks from resizing them tho) Hint Comments
PLANNING
After a successful geocaching venture this morning I set up another plan for 3 geocaches in the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area just north of Kingston.
OUTCOME
This was my sixth search of the day. We searched for it for about 20 minutes but there was more wood than eyes and I was not able to find it.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Lovely trail and park. But this cache eluded me today.
I am now 5/6 for today. This was my last search while in Ontario for this trip. And once again I forgot to take any photos of the area near the unfound cache.
