GC1JRTR The Lorax N 44° 17.230 W 076° 30.507Difficulty 1; Terrain 1.5; size regular; Creator: Hamburking Date First Hidden: 12/13/2008 Date Last Found: 6/27/2010 rural, OntarioDescription A cache for kids. Dog friendly and winter friendly too! Hidden along a trail in the woods of the Little Cat Creek Conservation Area. Plenty of trees to enjoy. The Lorax would like it here. Who is the Lorax? Just ask some kids! An easy find, not far from the path, no bushwacking. The cache is about 400m from parking coords along trail #1. The trails are wide and well marked with maps at intersections. Click here to see a trailmap. Follow trail #1 from the parking coords, no bushwacking required! These woods are a great place to visit any time of year. The trees nearby are full of chickadees. If you bring some peanuts (or seeds), and stand very still, they will eat right out of your hand! The park is open from 7:30AM till dusk. There is a booth to collect an entry fee (about $11 per car...ouch!). The booth is manned when the reservoir is open for skating, Maple Madness, winter weekends, and during the summer months. At other times the booth is not manned, but the park is still open. The outdoor center has snowshoes, skates and cross country ski equipment available for rent. For more info, click here. Dogs are welcome. For the story of The Lorax click here. The ammo box has been reported as tough to open. There is no trick, just pull hard. Hint Comments
PLANNING
After a successful geocaching venture this morning I set up another plan for 3 geocaches in the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area just north of Kingston.

Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
My first find in this lovely little park. I used to hike in this area 25 years ago! Took geocoin, left TB. SL. TFTC. Here are a few photos:
