It is 6500ft long and 200ft wide, with High Intensity runway edge lighting and is the only runway with a PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) which provides the landing aircraft with a visual indication of whether or not they are on the optimum angle or slope when landing. In addition, the runway has ODALS (Omnidirectional Approach Lighting System), as well as two instrument approaches which assist the pilot to align the aircraft with the runway for landing during poor weather conditions. PLANNING
Today I set up a plan for 7 searches in the vicinity of the Lethbridge airport. All 7 geocaches were part of the CARL2 event in June. Two of the caches involved solving some form of puzzle in order to obtain the correct coordinates.
OUTCOME
This was my first search for the morning. This gave me a bit of trouble as my first pass among the mailboxes failed to reveal the container. I then spent a little time checking out the nearby signs before I returned to the mailboxes and this time I was more thorough and made the find.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
This is my first airport cache of the morning. My GPS kept pointing me to the cache and I finally believed it. TNLNSL. TFTC. Here are a few photos:

I am now 1/1 for today.
