This geocache is a "conservation cache" and has been hidden by the Helen Schuler Nature Centre. Leave your conservation commitments or pledges in our log book and take some of the ideas and inspirations other geochachers have left behind. It is a medium sized lock box contatiner. Keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of wildlife on your search. This beautiful protected area is home to many different types of birds and animals like elk, grizzly bear and columbian ground squirrels. Don't forget to check out the exhibit at the Conservation Centre. Hint You might have to weave your way bahind some camping sites to find this cache. Look up! climb up! Comments
PLANNING
The sky was clear when I woke up and I set up a plan to search for 8 geocaches in southern Alberta. The overall plan was to form a loop beginning with highway 5 to Waterton and then back roads to Pincher Creek and then highway 3 back to Lethbridge, passing through Fort Macleod.
OUTCOME
This was the third cache on my list for today. My notes indicate that I found the cache 5 minutes after leaving the truck. Once again the brush was quite dense, but my GPS led me to the area. Fortunately there were no campers in the sites near the cache area. Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
