Lots of wide open space to look at. Not much to stop the wind when it starts to blow. At times life must have been very very hard for those that settled here. Hint It's somewhere in front of you. (now thats a big help!) Comments
PLANNING
I needed to go out to visit two of my geocaches that were problematic. One was missing, and the other was missing a log book. I decided to make a round trip of it, and after fixing the two geocaches, I would drive south and make a second effort at a geocache that I failed to find last year.
OUTCOME
I was mildly apprehensive as I approached this geocache since I had failed to find it last year. But today was different (not the weather though - very windy and cool both times). After spending a few minutes on the shaft (in the front of the wagon) I then began a meticulous search (both visual and tactile) of the front of the wagon. My fingers found what my eyes failed to see and I had another "find" to my credit. Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
The site may be Plains View but the container wasn't. This was my second try for this cache and this time it was successful. It only took a few minutes to get a decision today, which was good given the wind and lack of a temperature. SL. TFTC. One has a special feeling getting it the second time. Here are a few photos.
