Description Easy terrain. There is a gravel road off of the town road that will lead you to the cache. I sometimes run the facility to the north of the cache location. May be muggles around, but should beable to retrieve cache without anyone seeing you.

Hint As always be careful when retrieving cache. I didn't see anything when placing cache but there's always a possibility some rodent might try to claim the area :)

PLANNING

There have been a few new caches, and a couple of re-activated caches, in the Lethbridge area. I also noticed a new cache in Magrath and 4 new ones near Cardston. Since the weather is ideal today (warm, sunny, bright blue sky, no wind) I have decided to see how many of these I can find. The overall goal is 11 caches. I have downloaded the coordinates for all 11 caches into my Garmin GPS unit and I have made notes of the coordinates and the hints in a small book I carry with me. This is a valuable backup if I am having difficulty locating the precise cache area. This will also be the first time I have taken my Canon EOS Rebel T2i camera. I am becoming comfortable with the carrying case for the camera, which also has an external pocket for geocaching equipment (tweezers, small flashlight, extra pen).

OUTCOME

This was a new cache near Magrath, which I thought I would try while on the way to Cardston.

I followed the directions on the GPS which led me to the site. I left the truck at 12:15 PM and found the cache at 12:18 PM. I had to walk about a hundred meters from where I parked the truck. I love these hollows in the old cottonwood trees. I'm sure there are many small animals that also enjoy them.

I am now 7/7 for today. It felt good to finally be out of the urban environment. Little likelihood of muggles in the countryside.
