GC26Y2M "SUPER" cache !!! N 49° 39.484 W 112° 47.401Difficulty 1.5; Terrain 1.5; size small Creator: Joci Date First Hidden: 4/16/2010 Date Last Found: 4/20/2010 LethbridgeDescription This is a "Super" small LnL Container. Contains Pencil, Loggbook and some small trading items for kids. There is a FTF prize under the container!!! Sometimes it could be very busy here so you might need to be stealthy!!! But I think this spot is the best for it in this area!!! This is a "SUPER" cache I named, because I wanted a Super one here, so I thought there should be one. I named it "SUPER" because I think it goes with the name of it, because the place is "Super" because where it is, because it is Super small, because it is a Super idea to go get a cache while you are shopping !!! Hint "SUPER" small, but it is not a micro, it got some trading items in it !!! You might have to look for it a bit. Comments
PLANNING
There have been a few new caches, and a couple of re-activated caches, in the Lethbridge area. I also noticed a new cache in Magrath and 4 new ones near Cardston. Since the weather is ideal today (warm, sunny, bright blue sky, no wind) I have decided to see how many of these I can find. The overall goal is 11 caches. I have downloaded the coordinates for all 11 caches into my Garmin GPS unit and I have made notes of the coordinates and the hints in a small book I carry with me. This is a valuable backup if I am having difficulty locating the precise cache area. This will also be the first time I have taken my Canon EOS Rebel T2i camera. I am becoming comfortable with the carrying case for the camera, which also has an external pocket for geocaching equipment (tweezers, small flashlight, extra pen).
OUTCOME
This was another new cache in Lethbridge.
My GPS unit did a terrible job of directing me to the cache area. It had me going behind the shopping area and into the subdivision behind it and then walking between the houses (there is no path - just private yards). I understand the logic behind this. It was the closest point between a road and the cache site, but that is only because the GPS does not recognize parking areas.
Instead of following the GPS directions I drove back to the parking area and had no difficulty parking near the cache area. I parked the truck at 11:29 am and finally found the cache container at 11:42. 13 minutes searching for this one. I do not like this type of hide because of the garbage that also gets blown into the juniper bushes, making the whole search a bit distasteful.
Here is my posting to the geocaching.com website:
Fascinating how a gps unit set to automobile can find the worst possible approach to a geocache that is in a parking lot. Nice camo. TNLNSL. TFTC. Here are two photos.

I am now 6/6 for today. This was my last search in Lethbridge. Now to drive west to Magrath and Cardston.
