Crowsnest Pass

Description Look straight down from the main door. This is on private property but its allowed by our landlord, so feel free to come on up The cache is my first cache to be hidden, it is a small tupperware container with my 2nd and 3rd Geocoins hidden. The tupperware container is 12 cm long x 9 cm wide x 7 cm tall.

Hint [Don't worry about muggles, they are used to it]

PLANNING

This morning I planned to attend a photography field trip in the Crowsnest Pass. I then thought I would try to combine this with some geocaching in the same area. There are a number of new caches in this area and since it is almost an hour and a half drive to get here, I wanted to make the most of the trip. This time I was going to focus on the Bellevue area. I am slowly working my west through the Pass. Since I had no sense of how long the photography field trip would last, I decided to make notes for only 4 caches in the immediate vicinity of the field trip.

OUTCOME

The photography field trip took a break at noon for lunch. I decided to leave the group at that point and spend the afternoon geocaching. This was my 5th search. Since I had only made notes for 4 searches, I relied on my iPhone to provide me with the cache description, hints, and coordinates. This worked well. Time of find: 2:40 PM.

I followed the route through Blairmore to the cache area and parked in front of the house. The description on the website (iPhone) indicated to look down at the main door so I did that and saw a plastic container behind the steps. An easy find. No one came out while I was signing the log, so I assume they were not home.

I was all alone when I went for this one. I missed an opportunity for a good chat. A neat location for a cache. Different! TNLNSL. TFTC.

I totally forgot to take any photos of this cache!

I am now 5/5 for today.
