PLANNING
I first noticed the posting for the cache earlier this morning when I was checking the website for the Event cache. I noted that it was behind the restaurant and that all I needed to do was make sense of the hint.
OUTCOME
After a pleasant brunch, I left with hammerd8 who just happened to have a GPS unit with him.
The satellite image of the location had the cache on the west side of the road (where there just happened to be 3 mailboxes). But it was clearly not there. The GPS unit indicated it was in the middle tree on the east side of the road. It only took a minute to find the cache - thank goodness it was a "small" and not a "micro".
This was my second "find" of the morning as well as the second "find" of 2010.

Thanks hammerd8 for bringing a GPS unit! And thanks to TeamDJM for putting out the cache. This was a gentle warm-up to the season. Here are two photos:
I am 2/2 for today, and for 2010. It really felt good to back geocaching.
