The universe is estimated to be between 10 and 15 billion years old. That is between 10¹⁰ and 15¹⁰ years old. Adams and Laughlin (1999) identify 5 major ages for the history of our universe.

Age 1 Primordial Era  Beginning to 10⁵ years

Age 2 Stelliforous Era  10⁶ to 10¹⁴ years
