Thursday September 28, 2006 7:00 am Lethbridge Sunrise 7:26 Sunset 19:18 Hours of daylight: 11:52

A. Morning Musings

7:00 am It is +18 C at the moment. The forecast is for a high of + 23 C.

My weight is up 1 to 190. The combination of eating out and no exercise is not a good one for a weight loss program.

I have coffee at 8:30 am with a couple of friends. The remainder of the day is free. Bird watching, cabinet making and model train layouts are the three leading candidates at the moment.

C. Actual/Notes

8:30 PM The primary activity today was building the replacement bathroom vanity. I began by visiting the local home improvement center where they happened to have a sale on 3/4' birch veneer plywood. I bought a sheet and, with Phyllis' help, cut it into manageable pieces. I now have about an hour's work left and it should be ready for painting.

We then had a very enjoyable break from all this activity and relaxed with nearby neighbours for some nibblies and a little single malt. I have just returned from trying to walk off the calories. The sunset was very similar to those we used to see in Ballina, except this was not over the Richmond river.

According to my clock, it is 12:35 PM (Friday) in Casino, NSW. Congratulations Fran!! Best wishes for the next chapter.
