6:20 am It is + 6 C at the moment, with a forecast high of + 23 C. Another sunny day but the overnight lows are beginning to dip to single digits.
Chores: This looks like a good day to edge the front lawn. I have finally reduced the list of chores to just a couple of items.
Model Trains: Then I will see about wiring the Lower Mainline loop.
Literature: I should have little difficulty completing the third novel of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.
I have just completed the summary for July chronology. Overall, it is about what I expected. The total has moved up slightly to 80 hours, but I anticipate this rising again over the next couple of months as the time taken on household chores should lessen considerably.Literature activities have remained constant at about 30 hours. The Model Trains has increased to 25 hours. The noticeable drops are for birding and for the amount of variety across the other activity categories.
3:00 PM Here are a few images of my efforts at trimming the front lawn.

The trench needs some fine sand to make it level with the sidewalk |

4:20 PM I have completed reading "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever: The Power That Preserves". Although I was slow to embrace the story, the final book made the trilogy worthwhile. I am glad I persevered.
5:30 PM The last hour was spent with my eyes closed while listening to music on my iPod. I must learn to do this more often.
