A. Morning Musings
5:45 am It is + 17 C at the moment, with a forecast high of + 30 C. There is a 30% chance of showers this morning with winds between 20 and 40 km/hr. But at the moment it is calm and there are only a few scattered clouds. I cannot recall a summer where the temperature remained around 30 C for so many days.
Household chores remain my top priority, a little to my own surprise. I am eager to finish repairing the cracks in the garage floor. I should be able to accomplish that this morning. Cutting the backing for the book boxes will depend on the weather as I want to move the saw outside to avoid sawdust collecting in the garage. A small job is to paint the outside back light.
6:15 am The leaves on the trees are beginning to move and there is a refreshing breeze coming in the windows at the moment. Perhaps the forecast will come true. Reviewing the table entries for Immediate action, I see I have 9 hours worth of activities - likely a bit unrealistic. Four hours are tagged for chores. I hope to accomplish this and then will see about working on the model train layout.

C. Actual/Notes
3:05 PM I began the day by painting the rear outdoor light. Then we did our coulee walk. I then settled into repairing the cracks in the garage floor. This took a bit longer than I anticipated. First, all the cracks had to been cleaned out and vacuumed. Then I added the cement repair mixture, which I made in small batches. I was finally finished at 2 PM. Another job completed.
There is some high cloud today which is keeping the temperature down a little. Yesterday it was 32 C, today it is 27 C.
That is enough hard work for today. I will try to assemble the book boxes tomorrow morning. I think I will relax for the rest of the day and perhaps do a little reading.
