A. Morning Musings
7:20 am Once again the first task, before musing, is to download and edit the images I took last evening on our walk along the Richmond river. Done.
This morning is a trip to Bangalow for Sunday morning brunch and then a visit to the Bangalow markets. We will see about driving over to the Rocky Creek dam in the afternoon.
B. Plan
Chores: none
Exercise: beach walk.
C. Actual
8:35 PM We are back from a full day. We began with brunch in Bangalow at 9:00 am sharp. Then we went to the Bangalow markets until almost noon. I bought 4 fridge magnets: two for Byron Bay (one a dolphin, the other the lighthouse), one for Ballina (a pelican) and one for The Channon (palm trees). We then drove to Booyong to see the fruit bats. We took the trail through the rain forest to viewpoint overlooking the Wilson river but failed to see a platypus. There was a cricket match going on in a field across the road at Booyong - country cricket is alive and well in Australia. We then drove to the Rocky Creek Dam for a late lunch just as it began to rain. Fortunately their was a shelter there and we all remained dry. Phyllis spotted a White-headed Pigeon (we were able to positively identify this when we returned home using a photo I took at the time). We then went for a walk along the dam and along a boardwalk that bordered a stream. We saw a couple of kookaburras but that was all. On the way home we stopped off at Lennox Head and bought an ice cream for everyone and then when that was gone, picked up some fish & chips and headed back to Ballina.
I have almost finished reading "Dr. Riemann's Zeros". 8:55 PM Done. 9:20 PM
D. Reflection
9:20 PM Now I must decide on the form of notes that I should make for "Dr. Riemann's Zero's". It is a fascinating book, but there is little actual mathematics in it. Nonetheless there are some interesting ideas, and I would like to try to capture that. There are also some appendices at the end that deserve a close look. 9:30 PM
