7:15 am Morning Musings
More wind this morning.
Three items are on my agenda for today:
1. Put up Christmas tree
2. Coffee meet at 3 this afternoon
3. Night-time geocaching.
I am delighted with the Murakami novel "1Q84". This is turning into a real gem.
I am also pleased with my model train layout. I am optimistic that the switch stands I ordered will make a nice addition to the switching realism.
7:30 am Photography
Photography is another of my interests. This can be combined with my interest in trains - both model and real.
I tried typing "model train photography" into google and found this site:
This is an incredible site. So far I have not been pleased with most of my photos of my layout. I now have a superb set of examples and rules of thumb to help me improve.
The Rail Fan magazines I bought last week will help with the taking of photos of actual trains.
5:00 PM Life
Yesterday I bought a Christmas tree. Today I set it up.
9:00 PM Geocaching
We went geocaching this evening with TeamDJM. The weather was amazingly good for this time of year, a temperature of +2 at night is almost unheard of, and there was no wind. I was glad TeamDJM brought a powerful flashlight as mine was not strong enough to light up some of the reflectors that were a fair distance away. This was a very interesting cache and a delight to complete.

Here is an example of one of the patterns (the photo shows 4 white dots and one red - but the red is only visible when the photo is enlarged)
That completes my finds within Lethbridge. It also brings my total for 2011 to 292.
