I have finished reading "Guards! Guards!" by Terry Pratchett. Great sport. Satire at its best.

 

 

 

 

 

7:30 PM Literature

I have just begun reading "Infinite Jest" by David Foster Wallace. This novel, which is about the size of "War and Peace", was written in 1996, and was an American bestseller. I have never heard of it. The foreward of the re-issue indicates that it will take at least a month of steady reading to complete, but that it will be worth it. I will see. Certainly the first two chapters have captured my interest and have already alerted me to the fact that this book is something different, unlike anything else I have read.
