We arrived in Great Falls after a few tense moments. No real problem but I misjudged how much gas was in the tank and how far it was to the next gas station. As a result the yellow warning light went on when we were still 40 km from Great Falls and with nothing between where we were and the city. To make matters worse we battled a Lethbridge-style headwind the entire distance. We arrived in Great Falls with the needle on empty and still had to drive almost a kilometre before we arrived at a gas station. Nonetheless it all worked out.

Other than being distracted by the gas gauge the drive was very scenic and definitely big sky country.

We tried to do a little shopping but were not able to find what we were looking for so settled into the motel where we watched some football in a sports bar and listened to the locals cheer and groan as the teams scored.
