3:00 PM Life
I like this new category. Life is good.
We have a relaxing day in front of us. We visited one of the local malls and failed to see anything of interest. We then visited Audrey's Bookstore where we both bought a few books. Here is my list, once again in the order that I found them:
- "What Technology Wants" (2010) by Kevin Kelly
- I like his writing. He is a popular writer about the future of technology.
- "Our Days are Numbered" (2009) by Jason I. Brown
- This is a series of essays on various mathematical topics. It looks interesting.
- "The Best Writing on Mathematics" (2010) by Mircea Pitici (Ed.)
- This looks very interesting. I have not seen such a collection before.
- "Science is Culture" (2010) by Adam Bly (Ed.)
- This is another collection of essays by eminate science writers. The articles originally appeared in Seed magazine.
- "The Stokes Field Guide to the Birds of North America" (2010) by Donald & Lillian Stokes
- The book is too heavy for a field guide but it will definitely help with identification when we return from the field.
We noticed an upscale Vietnamese restaurant next to the bookstore and then had an excellent lunch (Lemongrass chicken). A great way to take a break.
This evening will be spent at the 50th anniversary of the school graduating class of 1961.
The weather forecast for Jasper is causing us to make a small adjustment to our schedule. We will stay in Edmonton tomorrow and then drive to Jasper on Monday. It is supposed to by sunny that day and I will try to log my finds for 2 geocaches (#'s 999 and 1000). We will stay in Jasper that night and then drive back to Lethbridge on Tuesday, one day later than we originally planned.
