8:20 am Geocaching

I am back from a quick trip to look for a few more CARL3 caches, this time in south Lethbridge.

The countdown continues: my life-total is now 996, only 4 more finds to reach 1000. My idea at the moment is to drive to Jasper for numbers 999 and 1000. Thus I can still look for 2 more in Lethbridge before putting this activity on hold until I arrange for a trip to the mountains. On the other hand I may stop now as I still have to make a decision about buying (or not buying) a new handheld GPS unit. If I do buy one, then I would like to have a little practice with it before the Jasper trip.

3:00 PM Model Trains

I have been adjusting values in my Ship It! database and have begun using the Balancer to make revisions. I could begin running trains now, but I will wait a bit and see if I can improve the overall balance before committing to a schedule.
