7:00 PM Birding
We drove north of Granby this morning, hoping to do a little birding, but when we arrived at the park that is well-known for birding the weather had deteriorated to wind and rain so we abandoned the idea after about 15 minutes as being impractical. We did see three pair of Canada Geese, each with a brood of goslings, as well as a large number of Tree Swallows, one Yellow Warbler, and a White-throated Sparrow.
There were showers on and off through the day making sight-seeing difficult but we did get a sense of the country-side and the Laurentian mountains which was quite different than the flat land south of Granby.
We had dinner at a St. Hubert restaurant in Granby - it is a Quebec-wide chain very similar to Swiss Chalet in the west.
