6:40 am Morning Musings

Instead of focusing on a few of my Activities, I have added another - Philosophy.

This might be getting out of hand. But as I keep saying to myself, "I am enjoying this.".

However I do need to establish a few priorities, just so I can keep track of what I am doing. First, what are the items?

11:00 am Technology

I ran into a tech problem this morning. I decided to update my windows xp system that I access on the Mac using a software program called Parallels. As expected there were a number of updates for windows which were installed without difficulty. But then when windows restarted I received the following screen display:

I have never seen this error before. Needless to say I then sent an email to the Parallels support team. Since today is a holiday, it may be a day or two before I hear back.

4:00 PM Literature

I have spent a very enjoyable couple of hours reading the "Autobiography of Mark Twain".

7:00 PM Puzzles

And another couple of hours playing SmartGo.

It is becoming clear that I need to slow down my play and think about strategy. At the moment I am playing on the 9x9 board and am bouncing between levels 6 and 8. I need to reach level 11 before the software will unlock the link to level 11. I like this feature. I need to demonstrate a particular level of competence before advancing.
