12:00 PM

I have run diesel locomotive CN1706 (a GP7) around both reversing loops as well as the mainline in all possible combinations of directions and entering/leaving the reversing loops without any difficulty. I think that I can now say with some confidence that the mainline routes are fully operational. The next step is to begin running short trains to test the rolling stock.

3:00 PM

I have been running a train consist of 9 cars plus a caboose on the west-bound outer mainline for almost 30 minutes with no problems.

This is the first time I have run a train of substantive length for some time with no problems.
