The goal this morning is to begin reading Chapter 4 "How to Solve Limit Problems Involving Polynomials" from "The Calculus Lifesaver".
My approach will be a combination of yellow-highlighting and trying each example before reading about it. Once I have completed the chapter, I will make a few summary notes.
I completed the first section on "Limits Involving Rational Functions as x -> a.
I attempted 2 problems and made mistakes in both of them. In the first problem I made an error in factoring the difference of two cubes. In the second I misunderstood what to do as I examined values of the rational expression. In both cases this became an excellent Learning experience.
