GC120CW Crying Out For a Cache N 49° 35.934 W 114° 05.896Difficulty 2; Terrain 1.5; size - small. Creator: DanOCan. Date First Hidden: Apr 7/07 Date Last Found: Sep 27/08. North of CowleyDescription Cache is a small plastic container located next to a road allowance near the border of a Provincial Recreation Area. The location allows for access to the Oldman Reservoir. The road allowance is accessible to 2WD vehicles when conditions are dry. We were driving around the back roads near the Oldman Reservoir looking for caches. I saw this road allowance heading down towards the water and I exclaimed "There is a location just crying out for a cache!" I turned the Liberty around and went hunting for a place to stash a small container. The cache contains a pencil and a logbook but no swag. There is room for small items and trackables should you wish to leave anything.
Maury TB - Nov 1/08Hint Between a rock and a hard place PLANNING
The weather is holding. I want to see if I can find the last "little green thing in a tree" in west lethbridge. Then we will drive west to Cowley where I want to look for 5 geocaches and exchange a few Travel Bugs. OUTCOME
I have now found the first two caches near Cowley. The remaining three are all off the back roads north of highway 3. I am curious to see how well my GPS unit works on these roads. We had no difficulty finding this cache. The GPS brought the car to within 20 feet of the cache and then it was a simple of matter of spotting a great hiding place.
great hiding place Maury TB cacher and cachee Oldman Dam resevoir Maury's swimming hole a "road allowance"I felt sorry for Maury. This is a cold place for a clown fish so I picked him up and will take hime to a TB hotel where he can have a warm bath.
