Description

This cache is located on private property, ours, a short distance from a Village Park where we had a micro cache "Welcome to Cowley". We have archived that cache and replaced it with this one. There are plenty of places to park along the street and you do not have to enter our yard to get to the container. If we are at home, please stop by for a visit. The cache container is a little different than most and you will need to remember how to open your school locker. There are many Travel Bugs and Geocoins that we brought back from the south with us this spring along with a log book. Please use discretion as to how many Travel Bugs or Geocoins you may want to take. Please log each Travel Bug or Geocoin that you take, if you are not sure how to log a Travel Bug, contact me through our profile page and I will explain how.

Hint The numbers that you need to know are 33 35 13. We have decided to explain how to open a combination lock as we have had several visitors from England and Europe who have never seen a lock like this. 2 turns to the right and stop at 33, left past 0 and stop at 35, right to 13.

PLANNING

The weather is holding. I want to see if I can find the last "little green thing in a tree" in west lethbridge. Then we will drive west to Cowley where I want to look for 5 geocaches and exchange a few Travel Bugs.

OUTCOME

This was our first search of our trip to the Cowley area. It was an easy find as our GPS gave directions right to the house in Cowley.

cache

This was the first time where I had reviewed the information about the Travel Bugs that were staying in one of these hotels. I had one geocoin ( Vaudesir's American Cache Gold Geocoin #1) that I had found a few days ago and that I wanted to drop off in a TB hotel so that it could continue its journey. The cache where it had been dropped off had not been found for almost 3 months so the owner of the TB must have wondered what had happened. As a result of my earlier review of the guests in the hotel I selected 2 of the older residents ( REBMANS CC Geocoin - Aug 17/08, Blue Skies Racer - Sep 22/08 ) as well as one that just looked like my type (Beer Bear 2 - Oct 15/08). Blue Skies Racer is a competitor in a race from Red Deer to Halifax. I suspect he is near the back of the pack as the race began on August 12 and he is just now in Lethbridge. Rebmans CC is a poor excuse for a geocoin - just a cardboard fascimile - but even poor excuses need help. As soon as we were home Beer Bear 2 and I shared a cool one:

A Pilsbeery Bear

Geocaching is definitely an activity that I "can" enjoy.

I now want to move all of these TBs on within a day or two.
