PLANNING

We left Lethbridge at 7:00 am (temperature -5 C). We had a list of about 20 geocaches that were potential targets for the day's searches. These were all downloaded onto our GPS units, we had printouts of the descriptions, and warm clothing.

OUTCOME

This was our third attempt of the morning. This was a straight forward find. But for me it was the number of travel bugs that were in the barn. Team DJM came prepared with a list of what they expected to find as well as travel bugs to exchange. This is an aspect of geocaching that is fairly new to me. I have only found two caches with TBs in them and was not sure what to do with them. The idea of a TB location where these artifacts can congregate and be exchanged is a good one. the barn on a fence close-up travel bugs on the move Team DJM There is a lot of extra bookkeeping required to keep track of where the TBs are where they are going. But this adds another dimension to this activity.
