The driving instructions are useful. One should approach it from below (counter-intuitive).
Comments "...fairly steep slopes..." Chuckle! Especially if you approach from the north! Somehow I managed to make the descent without falling or encountering any of the many well hidden cacti. The terrain immediately surrounding the cache was just as tough, with the grass concealing holes, rocks and logs seemingly designed to break ankles! Fortunately the GPSr led me right to the cache (fortunately because with the steep slopes to the north and south cutting off much of the sky view the EPE on the GPSr could easily have been 20 metres). No trades, TFTC. Nice cache. I think I came in on this one from the wrong direction and had a little bit of a decent to do. Fun! I like a good workout. Beautiful 32degree C weather too. Nice idea of a camera in the cache. cache

PLANNING

This was the third of four caches on my list for today : GC15FCT - West End, GCW1D9 - "Lethbridge Coalminers Puzzle Cache", GC153Y1 - "Adventure in Paradise", and GC1ACYR - "NS West #6". This is my first level 3 cache.

OUTCOME

I was expecting this to be a bit more difficult and I was not disappointed. On the way to the cache I found 4 golf balls which I picked up. I wouldn't want anyone to step on one and slip. I can't imagine where they came from.

I left the truck for this cache at 11:50 am and found it at 12:30. Among other things there were 7 golf balls in the cache. I added my 4 (7 - 11 is an expression in craps) as well as a Byron Bay key chain. I also took a picture of myself with the enclosed disposable camera. Something special for my 40th find. I also took a picture of myself with the enclosed disposable camera. On the way back to the truck I found 2 more golf balls. Not easy in this terrain.
