IDENTIFICATION
GC1CJKT Henderson Park Cache # 3 N 49° 41.251 W 112° 47.520Difficulty 3; Terrain 1.5; size - small. Creator: TeamDJM. Date First Hidden: May 26/08 LethbridgeDescription We've always felt that there should be more then one cache in this lovely park, so here is another. Henderson Lake is surrounded by a 2.8 km paved and shale walking path. There is a 4.3 km path around the perimeter of Henderson Park intself. The Park is 47 hectares (117 acres) built around a 60 acre man made lake and has been in existence for almost 100 years. The lake was originally a slough, but William Henderson, one time Mayor of Lethbridge, was instrumental in establishing the park and the lake.
The level of difficulty is 3 as this is very high muggle territory. Is wheel chair accessable until the last few meters. Be careful! Lots of water and rocks. Small 4x4 LnL. Original contents include a FTF Timmies gift card, a geocoin to send on its way, and some small trade items.
UPDATE: 10 Aug 08 - Someone has hidden the cache about a meter away from original location due to the ants. We will leave it there for now.
UPDATE: 20 Aug 08 - Ants seem to be gone so put container back in original location.
Hints Painted dark. Comments My 1st attempt. PLANNING
I downloaded the geocache locations in Henderson Park a while back. It is time I see what happens when I visit the park and try to find them.
OUTCOME
I am back from my most unsuccessful geocaching trip so far. I tried to find 5 caches, all in the Henderson Lake park area. Although I was "on top" of all five, I never actually found even one.
