Description

There are a few ways to get to this one but it's a good hike from the top or long walk from the bottom! Relax and watch for pelicans feeding along the weir.

Contained in a small white box that measures 1"x2 1/2"x3" are:
- log book & pencils
- cologne sample
- earrings
- Hand painted lady bug rock
- jade pendant
- woven ring
- gold (colored) Hawaii ring
- gold chain

You must have very small trade items for this cache but as always, all the fun is just in finding it!

Hints Under a rock cairn at the base of the big tree!
Comments   My 1st attempt.

PLANNING

I set out with the goal of finding 4 caches, three in the west side of the coulee and the fourth on the university campus.

OUTCOME

This was my second cache of the afternoon. This was about a 20 minute walk up a trail that I was familiar with. When I got to the weir over the Oldman River I turned on my GPS and quickly determined which tree to focus on.The cache was below a small rock cairn at the base of the tree.

success

I seem to be getting the hang of it. The accurate GPS reading made all the difference.
