We had a look at the fluorescent light fixture last night and considered a number of different ways of attaching it above the kitchen sinks. I need to buy a 4' piece of 1x4 pine to lay across the gap between two cabinets. I can then attach the fixture to this board and run the electric chord inside one of the cabinets to an electical outlet.
I think I will focus on my model train layout this morning. Barring unexpected problems I should be able to clean the entire mainline track, including the reversing loop section. Then I will run CN 6700 over the mainline. Assuming that works I will form a 4 car consist and try running that over the mainline.

A model train morning. I have cleaned the mainline track to Black Diamond, including the reversing loop. I then ran my first train consisting of CN 6700 diesel locomotive plus 6708 - a B-unit diesel, 501417 - a 40' boxcar, 210048 - a 40' refrigerator car, and 78213 - a caboose.

The fluorescent light is installed above the kitchen sink. No real problems encountered.
I completed reading "The Tender Bar". It was a good read, with a few very nice passages, but I would not put it on my list of highly recommendeds.
