I have 2 tables to monitor my reading of Literature. The first table is a list that I have been maintaining for a few years that identifies the books that I have bought but have yet to read. The list is fairly long, indicated that my reach exceeds my grasp. It also implies that I can ease up on buying such books and focus on reducing the list. A count indicates that I have 50 books in this list at the beginning of 2007, only 3 of which were bought in 2006. I am adding a fourth column to the table where I can indicate that I have read the book. This is much better than deleting the book from the table since doing so removes it from awareness that it was once there.
