Friday, February 24 2006 6:00 am I have followed the steps in "The Photoshop Elements 4 Book for Digital Photographers" on pages 1 - 11, about saving digital photos on a CD. Scott Kelby makes a strong point about saving all of your images to a CD as soon as you have completed downloading them from the camera. This is a good idea and I will try to follow it in the future. However at the moment I have a number of photos from the last few days that should also be burned on to a CD. I am beginning to understand the Organizer feature. I have now imported all of the images that I have taken with the Panasonic camera (using the Files -> Get Photos -> From Files ... ) to the Organizer. This includes two images taken with the Canon Powershot - it is nice to see this work regardless of the source of the image. Then it is easy to have the images sorted by date (View -> Arrangement -> Date ). I have been editing the photos for over 3 hours and have deleted the poor images, formed collections, and added captions. I am delighted with the power and flexibility of this after I get it catalogued. 10:45 am |
