Happenings...
(in order, but by no means guaranteed to be up
to date or all-inlcusive)
November 30, 2003
- Trolls end of Season Banquet was last night,
and was smashingly good fun (literally in some people's case: *cough*Mayvis
and Shane*cough*). Thanks to the Blarney Stone for
the great venue, and getting us all fed and pleasantly buzzed despite having
double the number of people they expected...to
Vibe for, what half an hour of good times? and
of course the ever dependable Studio 54-that's where my night ended,
so if there is any other news to report, send it to me! Thanks also to the excecutive, myself not included, for
their hard work and a great evening! Also, thanks
to Scott Mooney andAdam Vivian for yet another memorable and embarrassing
song about the Trolls we know.
- Here is a look at our prizes for the year:
-
- Golden Boy - Corey
- Mens MVP - Stark
- Womens MVP - Lisa
- Mens Rookie - Scott
- Womens Rookie - Cydne (my rookie, that's
right!)
- Boozer - Scott
Mooney
- Troll on Tour - Rob
- SHIT - Cutler
- Most improved
drunk - Jeremy
- Men's Lady award - Lindsay
- Houdini Award - Shane
- Creepy J. Award - Terry
- Award for shameless promotion - Kelly
- Toques are in! (Now that the weather is
nice again of course) Get yours at the U of L Bookstore for $14.00.
- Keep an ear and eye out for events in the
new year, because we are planning lots of fun stuff! In the meantime, be
sure to survive finals and have a great holiday! See you all in the new
year!
November, 2003:
- Jerseys have arrived at the UofL Bookstore
and they look fantastic! Pick yours up by bringing in your receipt. Those
of you who did not get them I have one word for you: fools.
- Scott Mooney has resigned as our Troll
at Large. Adam Vivian has now taken that title.
- Our annual banquet is coming up next Saturday!
(6pm @ the Bilarney Stone) For those of you who don't know, this is a semi-formal
event, because when else do we get to see each other all dolled-up? For those
of you who have never been, the Trolls, to everyone's surprise, clean up
real nice. In case you haven't figured it out from the last few emails from
Justin and Jeremy DUES MUST BE PAID IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE BANQUET!
- Practices have continued, though at least
one has not been a practice so much as an afternoon of tobaggoning. For those
of you who haven't been coming it out, likely it is much like last year where
you bundle up, slide around, then hit the Duke. So get your lazy asses out
there!
- Quote from presidential letter in regards
to missing balls: "Coreys Balls: Everyone...corey is looking for some balls...please
help him out....ladies??"
- Toga Party at the beginning of the month,
sounds like fun was had by all, wouldn't know because I was sick and in bed.
I believe the quote from the meliorist was that it was a "shitfest"...and
those of you who received plenty of emails the next day, you will be happy
to know that all individuals who were lost were in fact found at some point
the next day. Gotta love the Trolls, nobody throws a party quite like us!
I am still waiting to hear about how much money was made.
October 17, 2003: Well, let's
see what's been happening in the time since Andie was assigned to do this
website to when she actually got it done:
- AGM meeting sometime in September, new executive, president-buy
night, tons of new rookies
- Weekend games vs. Mount Royal and U of C men, and Mount Royal
Women, good times.
- Sask-tour 2003-the usual gong show and nude show
- all remnants of bad presidents from 02-03 year have been removed
- usual social happenings continue
Feburary 24, 2003: The final changes have been made to the website,
and it is now fully up-to-date.... again. thats the last time I'm
doing it... screw you jerks.... I'm outta here!
Feburary 24, 2003: I added the
NZRFU fitness program to the site (loacted on the home page). Take
a look at it, I dare you to get in shape.
November 4, 2002: The final changes have been made to the website,
and it is now fully up-to-date.... now I can finally go back to
the Duke for some wings!
October 11,12,13 2002: Trolls travel to Saskatoon. Jousting with
a medicine ball proves to be very funny. Also, the Medicine Hat
mall in the end has no sense of humor.
September 14, 2002: Game at the University of Calgary. A rusty side
proved that practice is important! Either way, it was a fun time
with our gracious hosts after the match.
September 12, 2002: Trolls AGM. A new executive is elected
and "President's-Buy-Night" is again hosted at the Duke.
April 12, 2002: Windup party at Mouth's. Mental Note--> Putting
shampoo and bubble bath in the hot-tub is FUNNY! April 5-7 2002: Trolls travel to Foolsfest. We wind up in the bronze
medal game, win the social award, and have a great time in the Excited
States. What worse than a cardboard box? March 17,18,19 2002: TROLLSFEST!!! January 8, 2002: Trolls spring AGM. Discussions on fixtures, practice,
jackets, jerseys and other events took up most of the time over
meeting. As usual following the meeting, we ended up at the Duke
and Zoo for an evening of malaise. Oct 25-28, 2001: Trolls travel to Interuniversity Championships in
Langley BC. See Tour Link for more info. Oct 20, 2001: Trolls play UofC at the LRC. The Trolls dominates the
first half of the first game, but allowed the UofC to come back and
win the game by a try. The second match resulted in the Trolls dominating
their opponents, winning 4 tries to 1. Oct 11-13 2001: Trolls compete in Midnite 7s tourney in Saskatoon.
On the field, the men fell short in the Midnight final to the Pirates
3 tries to 1. Off the field, we continued to show that we are the
life of the party, including jousting matches and cooking-oil slip-n-slides.
Sept 23, 2001: Trolls men travel to Calgary to play the U of C. In
a mini-fest format, the Trolls won a match, lost a match and tied
a match against a younger at more fruitful Calgary side. It was
a fantastic performance by the men, especially only after two practices.
Thanks to all of those who showed up, played, or just cheered us
on. Sept 13, 2001: Trolls AGM, Events of Fall semester were discussed,
including practices, fixtures, t-shirts, jerseys, and other social
events. Our new Exec was elected with Mouth as our new President.
Following the AGM, a night of drunken debauchery has enjoyed by
all during 'President's-buy-night' at the Duke.
