The University of Lethbridge Trolls Rugby ClubThe University of Lethbridge Trolls Rugby Club is a recreational rugby club affiliated with the University of Lethbridge Students' Union. It normally operates during September-October and Feburary-April, but this year we are going for YEAR ROUND activities!. We welcome the opportunity to organize exhibition games with any team that is willing to play us, and enjoy traveling and competing in tournaments with surrounding clubs. We also take pride in hosting our annual TrollsFest in March. If your club if interested in competing, traveling, or being festive with us, please don't hesitate to reach us via our contact list below. Trolls History
The Trolls Rugby Club was established in 1986 by a group of student hooligans at the University of Lethbridge. The founding members thought it would be a good idea to incorporate rugby into their social club-- Jim Urasaki, Toby Boulet, Quinn Skeleton and Neil Langevin. With their rugby ambitions and lack of moral reproach they put together a very competitive rugby team which arose victorious in many of their competitions throughout Southern Alberta and the Northwestern States. The Trolls evolved in the later years by the addition of a women's team. Other former presidents such as Joe Clement, George Urasaki, Jon Westcott, Phil Fay, Todd Staudinger, Colin Curtis, Jon Bahry, Ben Gilchrist, and Rob Andrews (Mouth) have contributed to the club and have made it what it is today. What We Are About The University
of Lethbridge Trolls Rugby Club has been in existence since 1986,
and has been one of the most active clubs on campus. Incorporating
teams for both men and women, the Trolls RFC train at the Nicholas Sheran Pitch
in the early fall and late spring semesters. Our Rugby activities
include home and away games against various other colleges and
universities
in Alberta and elsewhere. The apex of the fall season is a tour
to an exotic locale (yes, we do mean Saskatoon), and for the spring
it is hosting TrollsFest. The fun doesn't stop with rugby, there
is of course what you do when you are not training, which is hanging
at our ever-supportive sponsor We also like to get out once and awhile and see the country via the Annual Lethbridge Historical Tour as well as many other social events. All levels of players are welcome to come out and join the Trolls. If interested please get a hold of a Troll via our contact list below. Rippa Rugby And Flag Football Rippa Rugby is flag rugby.
