Title: Acid fast stain of Escherichia coli cells |
|
|
Description: Cells were cultivated in TSB broth for 24 h at 37C. A heat fixed smear was stained with Ziehl's carbol fuchsin, decolorized with 20% sulfuric acid and counterstained with methylene blue. The slide was observed under brightfield microscopy with a 100 X oil immersion objective. Material preparation by: Theresa Kamphuis |
